HAWTHORN PARKWAY BRIDGE

Euthenics completed final design plans for the Hawthorn Parkway Bridge carrying two lanes of traffic, sidewalk and an all-purpose trail over the OmniTrax Railroad. The 3 span adjacent, composite prestressed concrete box beam bridge was redesigned with the abutments being widened and piers replaced with new concrete piers on driven steel H-piles. Coordination with utilities and the railroad was a key factor in the successful completion of the project.
