Project overview
Scope & delivery
Euthenics provided engineering services for the replacement of the Orangeville-Kinsman Road Bridge over an unnamed stream for the Trumbull County Engineer. The existing bridge was a two-span steel beam structure with an overall span length of 54 feet. Project goals included eliminating the center pier if hydraulic analysis determined it was feasible, keeping construction limits within the existing 60-foot-wide right-of-way, coordinating utility relocation, and completing survey and design within four months so the project could be bid without jeopardizing funding. Analysis determined that single-span, 75-foot composite prestressed concrete box beams with new abutments set behind the existing abutments would result in a no-rise water surface elevation. The project was completed using the simplified bridge process on an expedited four-month design schedule.
