Project overview

Scope & delivery

Euthenics completed the bridge inspection of the existing Whitney Road Covered Bridge carrying vehicular and pedestrian traffic over the East Branch of the Rocky River in the Mill Stream Run Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks. The single-span steel beam bridge was determined to be in poor condition due to significant deterioration and advanced section loss of the south exterior weathering steel beam. Euthenics assisted the City in obtaining ODOT municipal bridge funding under PID 111574 to replace the existing bridge. Euthenics' services included surveying and basemapping, preliminary engineering study and hydraulic analysis, coordination with project stakeholders, roadway plans, structure plans, traffic control plans, and development of the construction cost estimate. Project construction was completed in 2024.
